WORCESTER, MASSACHUSETTS DRUG CRIME ATTORNEY

Picture
If you or someone you know has been arrested for a drug crime, it may seem like there is no way out.  The police have found drugs in your car, or your home.  If this is the first time you have been arrested, you probably believed the arresting officers when they told you that if you are cooperative, the consequences will be less severe.  But once you have gone to court, you know that Massachusetts’ drug laws come with severe punishments, including mandatory minimum sentences.  You now know that you or your loved one could go to jail.

However, there are defenses available to you. You need a knowledgeable and experienced attorney to challenge the legality of the stop. Similarly, you need a skilled attorney to challenge the strength and legality of the search warrant.  You need to challenge the procedure by which your confession or statements were obtained.  And when all else fails, you need a great attorney to argue to your jury the the government's proof has failed miserably to support the conviction they seek.  In short, you need me.

A relentless defender of your rights
My practice has always been dedicated to providing aggressive legal representation for persons charged with drug-related offenses alleged to have occurred in Massachusetts. For more than 17 years, I have represented clients who have been charged with all types of state and federal drug crimes, including:

  • Drug trafficking
  • Drug possession
  • Possession with intent to sell
  • Driving under the influence of drugs
  • Prescription drug fraud
  • Manufacturing of illegal substances
  • Conspiracy to sell drugs
  • Operation of a methamphetamine laboratory
  • Sale of illegal substances in a school zone
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
Defending your constitutional rights is my top priority, and I pride myself on analyzing every aspect of your case to find defenses to the accusations brought against you. I am not afraid to ask the hard-hitting questions that will get you results.
  • Did the police have a legal reason to pull you over or search you?
  • Did a police officer coerce you into to making a confession?
  • Was an informant involved in your arrest?
The answers to these questions can be the difference between spending your nights in a prison cell and spending your nights with your family at home. By challenging the prosecution at every turn, I deliver the best defense for your money.

How you can defend yourself from the police
Every good drug defense begins with a well-informed client. Here are three helpful tips for clients to remember when dealing with the police:
1.    Do not say anything. If they ask you questions, ask for a lawyer immediately.
2.    Do not consent to a search. Unless a police officer has a warrant or there is probable cause to do so, the police have no authority to search you, your home, your car or your personal belongings. They can, however, ask for your consent to search. Just say no.
3.    Remain calm. It is always best to stay calm and be polite when dealing with police. Getting a police officer angry at you can never have positive consequences.
